"Venthe" has been our cherished companion for 8 rewarding years, gifting us with countless unforgettable adventures. Renowned in the Solent, her sheer elegance and charm never fail to turn heads. Our journeys with her have been both fulfilling and exhilarating, regularly sailing to France and the Channel Islands and west to the Isles of Scilly.
I remember a particularly challenging moment with Venthe off Tresco in the Isles of Scilly. We found ourselves amidst an unexpected storm with gusts reaching Force 11. Even as the tempest raged around us, Venthe held firm, securely attached to a mooring buoy. That fateful day, 22 maydays echoed on Channel 16 two lifeboats and a helicopter attending. Venthe’s resilience was a testament to her build and our faith in her.
Throughout our tenure, we've made it a point to constantly update and enhance her. Her sailing capabilities have often left us in awe. Initially, we were surprised at how she could outpace many modern cruising boats much larger than her. Today, it’s become routine for us to confidently overtake vessels, with Venthe leading the way. The expressions of astonishment from fellow sailors as we pass by will remain one of our most cherished memories of Venthe.
